Day 1: Fes, Middle Atlas, Merzouga Desert, Camel Trek, and overnight in the Berber tent

The 3 days tour from Fes starts with an early pick up from your hotel/riad in Fes. Then we drive south to visit Ifrane, a picturesque mountainside village known as "the Switzerland of Morocco". En route to Midelt, you will catch glimpses of both the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Then the tour stops at Azrou, a Berber village in the heart of the largest cedar forest in Morocco, where you can observe Barbary apes. After exploring the cedar forest, the journey continues to Midelt, taking in the breathtaking hills and mountains of the Atlas. From Midelt, the tour travels through the Tizi N'talghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, where you can see views of the High Atlas plateau and the beginnings of the desert. After passing the city of Errachidia and enjoying Berber hospitality for lunch, the tour continues along the Ziz Valley with several stops for panoramic views. Afterwards, the tour arrives at Merzouga in the afternoon, where you will be greeted with a glass of mint tea. Then the next activity is a camel ride guided by an experienced camel man to explore the golden sand dunes of Merzouga. The evening includes dinner in front of the tent where you will be spending the night.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert, Rissani Market, Erfoud Fossils, Todra Gorges, Dades Valley

"Date with the Sunrise": If you find yourself in the middle of the desert, waking up early is a must-do to witness the most spectacular sunrise from the top of a high dune near the campsite. Take in the breathtaking landscape that is a gift of nature, and then return to Merzouga on camelback for a heartwarming breakfast that awaits you. Then the tour departs from the desert and heads to Rissani to visit the market place (available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays). Next, the tour stops at Erfoud to visit the manufactures of fossilized marble before continuing on to Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves. After an hour, the tour reaches the Todra Gorges, one of the best places in the High Atlas known for its cliff-sided canyon and popular among climbers. There is free time to have lunch in this wonderful place, and a short walk through the gorges is highly recommended to appreciate the landscape's beauty. In the afternoon, the tour continues to the Dades valley, also known as the figs valley, passing through Boumalne Dades and stopping at the "monkey legs". The tour ends the day with dinner and a night's stay at the Dades gorges.

Day 3: Dades Valley, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, High Atlas, Marrakech

The day starts with breakfast and enjoying the view of Dades valley from a strategic lookout in the mountains. The journey continues on a road with different kasbahs of touristic interest, making some stops to enjoy the "One thousand kasbahs road," Roses Valley, and the Skoura palm grove. The next stop is in Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, an old residence of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha. Interested visitors can also visit the cinema studios and cinema museum. After a half-hour drive from Ouarzazate, the tour stops at the Ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou to visit the famous Kasbah, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. Many famous films have been shot at this location, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara, etc. There will be free time for lunch in town, and in the afternoon, the journey continues to Marrakech, passing through the mountain port of Tizi Ntichka with some stops for taking pictures. The journey ends in Marrakech at around 6 pm, with transfer to the hotel and end of the 3 days tour from Fes.
